A: There are MANY reasons to "go green". There are 5 main points that I would like to share:
- Save Mother Earth: This is where we live, where we breathe, where we eat, where we raise our children, and where our children will raise their children. We need to protect what we have. Taking "green" steps to save our planet will result in a better future for mankind.
- Save your health: Growing/buying organic (grown without pesticides or chemicals-- in other words NATURAL) is VERY beneficial to your health. No one wants foreign chemicals in their bodies! Not to mention putting all of those toxins into Mother Earth. Eating as nature intended is better for you, and our planet
- Save Money: Who doesn't love to save money? Using homemade detergents, soaps, household cleaners, cloth diapers/paperless products alone will save you hundreds each year! How about energy consumption? It's not hard to turn off lights when you're not using them. Take baths not showers to conserve water (and save money).
- Save the economy: If "going green" will save you money, think of how much the United States could save, if we start utilizing "green" technologies. Not to mention the JOBS that would be created.
- It feels good!: Just like living a healthier life (with a better diet and exercising), going green will make you feel just as good! Knowing you are contributing to a cleaner lifestyle (and planet).
Q: Do cloth diapers make my baby's tooshie bulky/puffy?
A: Yes they do. Although they do not bulge when wet, they are a little bulkier than disposable diapers. I have found that the best solution is to have them go without pants in the in the Summer (around the house of course). In the colder months buy them a size larger so that there is extra room.
